Whew...did lots of cleaning today!! It all started with me deciding to clean my daughter Brittany's room. I wanted to rearrange her furniture a bit. Well I ended up doing a major cleaning and getting rid of plenty of stuff she no longer plays with anymore or all the broken stuff....missing pieces...etc. It looks so much better now. The kids were really good and pitched in to help me. I hope it is nice tomorrow. They say it is supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow so maybe I will take them to the park or something.

Tonight Alan and I stayed in and rented another movie Intolerable Cruelty with George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones it was not too good. Kinda dumb if you ask me. Oh well. Alan is also coming down with a cold/sore throat. Hope this is as bad as it will get. He is not a good patient. It's amazing how men turn into big babys when they get sick. Us women get sick and do we get to lay in bed all day...nope. It's still get up make breakfast, lunch and dinner and take care of the kids. I guess that's they way the cookie crumbles. Well I am off to bed to catch some zzzz's. TTFN!!

Sunny

Today it is beautiful out. Nice and sunny!! Just makes you wish for spring even more. Not to much going on the last couple of days....guess that is a good thing. I just got back from looking for a new pair of glasses. I mostly need them for distance and especially driving at night. I had went last night to Cohen's in Sunrise Mall but the selection was just plain horrible. So I called up the insurance company and told them how bad they were and then they gave me another $50 plus the $180 I already had from the insurance to pick out another pair. I thought that was very fair. I went to General Vision in Hicksville and they had such a much better selection. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I have to bring my son David back when he gets home from school. I want him to have a nice pair of glasses. I don't want him looking nerdy or anything whatever it costs. It's hard enough in school without having that hanging over your head.

As far as me being on the Atkin's diet the first week went very well. I am down 10 lbs in one week!! Yay!! It's really not to bad. I would say the first 3 days are the hardest to adjust...at least it was for me. I am doing the Walk Away The Pounds tapes by Leslie Sansone. They are fun and really do work. Maybe when the weather warms up a bit I can take some walks down on the boardwalk at Jones Beach.

Well I am going to run...I have a few more errands to run and Alan will be home in a few minutes. Bye :O)

Wow what a day today. I had to take my new Sienna Limited into Bayridge, Brooklyn today (where I bought the car) to have the upgraded navigation software installed and to fix a trim piece that was scratched when I bought the car. Well I drive 50 minutes there and all they were able to do is install the navigation software. The trim piece they ordered was incorrect it was for the lower end model without the chrome trim. Ugh.. so now I have to make another trip back in there another day in the next couple of weeks to have it fixed again. The service manager said he would throw in a free oil change to compensate for me having to drive all the way back there again. So that said and done I start driving back home to Long Island.

On the way home I decided to stop at Creative Car Wash near my home to get my car washed.....what a mistake that would turn out to be.....everthing was going well until one of the guys who drives your car out from the wash to the front to be detailed crashes my car into the truck in front of my car......all this while I am watching. I lost it at that point and dashed across the parking lot screaming at the idiot. He totally ignored me. I looked at my car and it had some damage and scratches and my front grill was pushed in. I was fuming mad!!! With that my dad who was with me came over to see what was going on while I was still screaming at the idiot to get the manager. He decides to pick up a spray bottle and a rag to wipe it. I just said don't touch my car anymore you have done enough!! I want a manger. He still ignored me so I went and found the owners son and he came over and was not happy about it at all and apologized. His father the owner came out and said to take it down the road to Masters Collision to have it fixed and they would pay for it and that he was very sorry this all occurred and the would do whatever to make it right. Thankfully everything was fixed in about an hour. There are though a couple of very little scratches in the front that they tried sanding out with 2000 paper and/or compound and it helped some but not all the way. If they sanded and compounded it anymore the clearcoat would of been affected. I talked to the owner at the car wash afterwards and told him everything was fixed except for a little scratch and he offered to do a full detail on the car for free. I did appreciate how professional they were about handling the whole situation and told him I would take him up on the detailing next week. So now I am home and my Sienna is resting comfortably in the garage. I sure hope I have better luck next time. I have been to that car wash so many times and the owners son even remembers me from previous visits of which I never had a problem but I guess these things sometimes can happen. It was just that the car is brand new and that is why I was so much more upset. Well I have to look at it this way I guess it could of been worse and everything did turn out fine in the end.

Hello...

Well today was pretty uneventful. Talked to my Mom and Dad today. They just got back from there almost 3 week vacation. The went to South Carolina to visit some family and then went to Virginia and back home to Massapequa, Long Island again. They had a great time except for the fact it rained a lot. I hate when that happens when you go away.

Today I started back with my weight loss again. I want to get back into shape again. I was doing well for a while and then lost my motivation I guess. I started my weight loss blog to help me with my progress. I'm Really Losin' It! I have so many things coming up in upcoming months, my godsons communion, a wedding and my sons graduation from elementary school. I don't want to look the way I do now.

Well got to run and finish cleaning up so I can go food shopping when Alan gets home in an hour. TTFN!!

Yesterday we had a nice time at Colleen's when we went for lunch. The kids enjoyed playing with each other. I made cupcakes and brought them so we could sing "Happy 6th Birthday to Katie" I will post some pictures later if I get a chance.

Today I decided to clean out my daughter Brittany's room. She has so much and some of it just has to go....unless I plan on expanding which isn't going to happen any time soon!! It is so hard keeping the kids organized. I also promised David I would take him to Radio Shack later to get some parts for a electronic car that he is building. So gotta run.

Hello. The Blue and Gold dinner was very nice. We all had a great time. I posted pictures in my photo album of some of the highlights from that day.

Today I am taking the kids and going to my cousin Colleen's house to have lunch and the kids can play. I was getting nervous last night that we might not be able to go because they were predicting snow again but we got lucky this time and the snow stayed further out on the island by the hamptons. They got about 6 inches of snow so I hear. We had nothing!! Yay!! I usually like the cold and winter but I just can't wait for spring this year. Tired of being in the house so much I guess. I enjoy just sitting out in the yard with the kids.

Well got to run and get the kids together to go out. Bye..

xox Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!! xox

My hubby is working all day today in our comic book store. So last night he figured it would be more of a surprise to bring me home flowers and a card. Tonight he was going to go and pick up dinner from our favorite resturant Vincent's since we can't get out because .... no babysitter.... oh well. I would rather spend a nice quiet evening with him at home then in a very busy resturant waiting for a table. I made him a huge chocolate chip heart cookie & decorated it with the kids!! I know he'll like that!

Tomorrow is the Blue and God dinner at Verdi's in Westbury. David is pretty excited and the girls are happy they are going too. It should be a fun afternoon. I will post pictures later tomorrow evening.

Took David yesterday to the scout shop to get his new Boy Scout uniform and then to the tailors to have it sized and his patches sewn on his new shirt. I tried the sewing thing once with the patches. I did a horrible job so now I leave it to the professionals. LOL!! We have the Blue and Gold Dinner coming up this Sunday the 22nd. David is really excited about crossing the bridge into boy scouts. He will also be receiving his arrow of light award along with the rest of the boys in his den.

Other than that things have been rather quiet. Trying to think of something to surprise hubby with on Saturday for Valentine's Day. Not sure that we will be able to go out anywhere since we may not have a sitter for the kids but that's ok. Maybe I will make him something special for dinner and get the kids to bed early so we can have a nice quiet evening together. We'll see I guess.

Weekend was pretty busy...Saturday was spent running around. Got up early and went for a haircut then ran home and picked up David and took him to the barber for a haircut also. Then I ran home picked up the girls -- Alan left for work -- and I took David over to my sister Lisa's because she and Billy were taking Ashley and David to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City for the day. He had a great time!! Then I did some shopping in the afternoon with the girls. Decided to go and buy their Easter dresses and shoes. The're so funny picking out shoes. I think we tried on every shoe they had!! That evening Alan I and the kids went to my sister Michelle's little dinner party that her and her best friend LeeAnne hosted. We had a great time!

Sunday we went to Heather's 30th Surpirse Birthday party. It was held at Maguires Ale House in Bayside, Queens. (See the pictures in the Photo Album) It was funny we were all getting ready to yell surprise as we were waiting for her to come in the door and she ended up coming in another door and walking up behind all of us!! Then we were all surprised!! LOL!! So she was sent back out to come in the way we expected her to to begin with. Everything was great from there!! So needless to say we all had a bit of a surprise. The food was good and it was nice seeing everyone again! Went home that evening and just relaxed got the kids to bed early and watched American Pie 3 with Alan. Today I have a ton of cleaning to do around the house. God it piles up in just a few days!! The kids put there stuff all over the place it drives me crazy. LOL!!

Sunday, February 1, 2004

Today woke up early and went out for bagels. It seems warmer though it's only 30 degrees out. LOL. Anyways stopped by and brought my parents bagels and had to load some software on my sisters computer for a friend of hers. I am going out with one of my friends Alison for dinner tonight. Guess we'll have to stay away from the sports bar places considering it is superbowl Sunday...yippie.... Don't really care too much for football. Thank god Alan isn't a sports nut. He's staying home today watching the kids so that I can go out tonight. Well that's it for now .... will try to write later.

Later....

Just got back from going out with Alison. She took me out to the Outback for dinner for my birthday. We had a really nice time. She also gave me a very sweet gift. It was a picture frame with the word "friends" on it with pictures of us taken through the years. It was really very touching. Alison and I have know each other now since 1980. You can say we've been through alot together. She truly is a forever friend.
