Hi, I had a nice Friday night ended up going to Charlie Brown's with my best friend Alison whom I have know for 25 years now and my sister Lisa. We had a nice time. Wow two weeks in a row going out with the girls! Doesn't happen like that too often. Alison bought me a gift for my birthday a very cute tart warmer for the kitchen from one of my favorite stores Yankee Candle. Oh and Alison just stared up her blog again. Check it out under my journal reads Cricket's Chatter. I am also excited to hear that our the weather is going to warm up to a toasty 34 degrees. Trust me that's much better than the 6 degrees we've been dealing with.

Today I just stayed in caught up on some laundry and worked on my computer room a little bit. David spent today setting up his telescope he got for Christmas and cleaned his room a bit. Brittany and Kaylee spent the day coloring and playing with all the wonderful craft stuff they have and making a huge mess as usual. Alan went into Manhattan (the city) today to go to some gaming show for our comic book store. He had a good time. On the way home he brought home a pizza. No cookin' tonight. Tonight we just plan on staying in and watching some movies nothing to exciting.

Till tomorrw.....

Hello, sorry I haven't posted in a week. It's just been a busy week. Went out with the girls on Friday night the 21st to celebrate my birthday. We went to the Outback and had a great time!! I just posted a few pictures today from that night. I didn't have too many and a few came out a little blurry. Check them out in the photo album. Also, we ended up getting hit with alot of snow on my birthday (Jan 23rd) 18+ inches with 3 foot snow drifts!! Guess what we that day..shoveled for 3 hours!! LOL!! Thank god for the snowblower. Alan and I never got out to dinner that evening. My parents were great they came over and picked up the kids so Alan and I could enjoy a couple of days alone. ....Wow was it ever so quiet! Alan ended up getting me the kid charm for Kaylee added to my necklace. Funny I didn't even know he went through my jewelery box and took it to go and be made up with the extra charm on it. I love it! School ended up being cancelled on Monday too! It's been sooo cold today it was only 9 degrees with a windchill of -6 degrees below zero!! I don't mind the cold but that is just crazy!!

I finally got my computer room just about done. Just have to add the border and hang some stuff on the wall. It's great having a nice big desk. Alan worked hard putting it together for me on Tuesday. Then my parents stopped by and brought me a nice black leather executive chair. It really feels like an office now. I also registered Kaylee for Pre-k at the public school. She is so excited about going. Today we took her to the doctor to get her up-to-date on all of her shots and to make sure there are no restrictions for her because of her heart condition. The doctor said just to check with the cardiologist to make sure. I was so proud of her she had 3 shots today and not a tear. All she said was "ouch" very quitely. The doctor was shocked and so was I. So that's about it for today! Got to got figure out what's for dinner tonight and set up the DVR to record Apprentice and ER tonight. Looks like a couple of really good episodes.
Oh and here is the picture I was telling you about a few posts ago when I met Leslie Sansone ( Walk Away the Pounds) my sister Michelle who is on the left in the picture finally figured out how to email me the picture from her phone!!

Michelle, Leslie Sansone, and Me

Bye for now!

Hello. Sitting here with my nice hot cup of tea. It is actually snowing right now. And Yes it is still FREEZING cold! It's only 12 degress outside now! Just makes you not want to go out. Having a pretty quite week so far. That is a blessing!! I have been working on my computer room. I am gutting the room so my husband can build my new desk he bought me for Christmas. Here is a picture:

I also want to put up a border in the room which I have already and I have to get a new computer chair. Sunday, January 23rd is my birthday and my family and friends are taking me out on Friday to celebrate and have a nice ladies night out! Were going to the Outback Steakhouse. There is about 11 of us going. I am excited and I can really use a night out! My husband is taking me out on Saturday night and my mom is watching the kids overnight! Alan and I haven't been out in a while. It will be nice spending some time alone. Michelle my sister got me something different this year for my birthday. We are going on Sunday to Elizabeth Arden Red Door for a massage. I haven't had a massage in 13 years. Since my honeymoon! It will be nice I am sure.

Well not much going on. The weather has turned very cold. We even got snow last night. Just think last week it was 60 degress. Tonight it is 17 degrees with a wind chill of 4 degrees. The weekend was pretty quiet. Went to my parents house to help them hook up their new big screen tv. It's really nice.

David had a graph project to do for Math and worked on that today. It came out good. Tonight I worked on my webpages. I updated the graphics for Valentine's Day. I still have to do the photo album pages with the new background I choose. I usually just stick to one background and just change the graphics but it's been a while since I changed it.

Well it's now pretty late and I need to get myself to sleep. Good Night!!

Hello. A nice quite day with everyone feeling good for a change!! David is doing ok with the cutting out of the gluten from his diet. I drove him to school a little early today at 7:45 a.m. so that he could meet with his teacher and get up to date on any work he missed. He was supposed to have religion tonight but it got cancelled because his teacher was out sick and there was no sub. It was just a nice quiet night. I made a nice roast chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans and corn for dinner and then relaxed.
Can you believe that here on Long Island it is supposed to be 64 F. tomorrow. I can't believe it. They say it will only last a day but nice!! It's usually 20-30 F. this time of year. We really haven't had any significant snow fall....knock on wood.... but winter is far from over yet.

Oh and I forgot to mention on Sunday I got to meet Leslie Sansone... she was doing a walk event in my town. She is the one who does the Walk away the pounds videos. She is such a sweet, vibrant person. I was telling her how my son David (who's 11) enjoys doing the tapes with me and she said she would send him out a nice care package with her new kids walk tape and his own hand weights. He was so excited when I told him this!! I did have a picture taken with her but my sister has it in her camera phone...(she can't figure out how to email it to me) ... so hopefully I will have that to share as well. She signed her new book for me and tonight I hope to get started reading it. Leslie gave me a one mile walk dvd that is supposed to be new and a little more fast paced and a new strechie. I am trying to get myself back on track and start losing some weight again. I have just been in such a funk but she really motivated me!! I am glad I got the chance to meet her!

Oh well....guess that's it for now. Goodbye

Today was rainy/snowy.

Yesterday I spent the day running around. David went to school on Monday but I was called by the school nurse to come pick him up because he was complaining of his stomach hurting. Well before I left I called his pediatrician and told them I was bringing him in. He was due to get his blood results anyways. When I got to the school and was signing him out he ran to the bathroom and was vomiting. He looked miserable. We got over to the doctors office and he continued to vomit there also. The doctor checked David out and gave me his blood test results. It turns out that he has antibodies for Celiac disease. Celiac disease means you have a sensitivity to gluten (flour, wheat, rye, oats, etc.). She recommended that he stay away from these type of foods, bread, cookies, pasta, etc. To confirm all of this David has to follow up with a gastroenterologist to have an endoscopy test performed. He will go there within the next couple of weeks.

Today was pretty quite. David stayed home and slept most of the day. He was really worn out and upset yesterday with finding out that alot of things he cannot eat anymore. I also finally took down my Christmas decorations. I was home anyways waiting for cablevision to show up with my new DVR cable box (like tivo). It's pretty neat. No more VCR's. It has 80 hours of record time on it already.

Well that's all for now. I have to go and figure out dinner for tonight. TTFN

Hello. It was a very rainy Saturday. Well not too much going on today. We got up this morning had a nice big brunch and then just stayed in and relaxed. I can't remember when we have been able to to that in quite a while. It was kinda nice.

David spent most of the day finishing off his book Monkey Island for a project for school. The girls enjoyed playing with their toys from Christmas. I finally got to watch a movie Alan got for me ...bootleg... of Meet the Fockers. It was actually very cute. Better that what I thought. I sat in bed and watched it on my new laptop. It was a really good copy. Alan did some of his ebay work for the store.

Well I am going to run...I want to get the kidos in bed and take a nice shower and hit the hay early for a change.

Talk to you later...

David went back to school today. He feels better but has to watch what he eats. I took him to the doctor yesterday and she said that he may have a malabsorption problem. Which means he is lacking an enzyme that would help with digestion. She sent him for blood tests and we should have them back by Monday. He has missed quite a few days from school because of this over the past couple of months and it just causes him to be miserable. I hope to get to the root of the problem so that he can feel better.

Everything else is pretty quiet. I am going to go and make cupcakes for Brittany to take to school today. She wanted to do something with her class since her birthday fell on the holiday vacation.

Well talk to you later. {Huggs}

Hello All! Happy 2005! We rang in the New Year at my parents house and celebrated Brittany and Ashley's birthday's. We had a nice time. I have to admit it was quite a late night. Especially being out with the kids. Though we made some nice memories.

David is home sick. Guess it finally hit him. He came home from school with it on Monday. Very nauseas and was up all night vomiting. Needless to say I didn't get too much sleep. I kept knocking on the bathroom door to see if he needed me but he just said he wanted to be alone. He's growing up.

I also had to bring the Sienna to Toyota for inspection, oil change and a couple of other things I have been putting off. My sister Michelle had picked me up since the van would be there all day. She drove me all over. I felt bad since it was her day off from work. Thank god she is off tomorrow too. I do appreciate her help though.

I just signed up also for a walk event with Leslie Sansone this coming Sunday at Westbury Costco. It is also to promote her new book. I have to get myself back on track and I really did well when I was using her tapes. I have been feeling especially bad since I have been on the prednisone for my asthma for a month now which helped to pack on a few pounds. I really hate being on that stuff but what am I going to do not breathe or gain a couple of pounds. Not to hard of a choice there no matter how much I hate it.

Well that's it for tonight ... gotta go get the laundry out of the washer and into the dryer before going to bed. Bye
