Rainy Friday...but busy.

52 degrees

Hiya! Well it looked nice when I woke up this morning but it didn't last too long. Thankfully my landscapers came early to do the spring clean-up because it's been a raining on and off all day long. Really makes it feel like Good Friday.

Alan got his results back on his MRI and he has a problem between two of the discs in his neck (which he never had before) so we are going to talk to a lawyer. I have never ever sued anyone before but when you start messing around with his neck and all then you have to worry. Will this be an ongoing problem? Will he need surgery later on? Who knows. It really stinks but we just have to protect ourselves. All this because some kid had to drive a car and not pay attention to what he was doing and crash into him. Anyways... Alan also got his car fix and just picked it up the other day. You would really never know that it was damaged. The auto body did a wonderful job.

The kids started their Easter vacation Thursday. They are off till next Monday the 24th. Today, I ran out for a bit and did some Easter shopping. I picked up some candy to fill their baskets but picked up som arts and crafts things as well for them. Brittany and Kaylee love that stuff. David I got ... but yet another video game. He is getting much harder to shop for now that he is getting older.

Oh and my little one Kaylee asked me to get her ears peirced and so we did. She was so good. I really didn't think she would sit for it but she surprised me and didn't move. She said that didn't hurt mommy and now I am so pretty. How cute? I also picked up dresses for Brittany and Kaylee for the Sweet Sixteen party we are going to at the Swan Club next Friday. They are just so adorable in them. I have to take them back to Roosevelt Feild Mall and go shoe shopping though. I also have to look for myself and for David. He needs a nice suit since his Confirmation is coming up anyways. At least he will get to wear it a few times.

Other than that not much else going on. If I don't get the chance to write. I wish you all a very Happy Easter or Passover!!

I'm Feeling Much Better But...

45 degrees

Alan is sick now....guess I passed it on to him....poor thing...he was up in the middle of the night vomiting. I told him I was sorry for sharing my virus. I got up today and felt still a bit blah. When Alan got up he was being stubborn and still went to the store and opened. I told him to close today but he wouldn't. I said I am sure that no one will mind not getting their comic books for one day. He did end up coming home 4 hours early though. He called me and said he just couldn't stay there any longer. That he needed to come home and lay down so he was going to close for the day. I knew it would get to him at some point. Guess that is the joys of owning your own business.

Brittany had a birthday party to go to so I asked my Mom and Dad if they wouldn't mind taking her so that I wouldn't have to cancel because there was no way I was driving anywhere today. They did so that was great. Brittany had a wonderful time and made a tie dye t-shirt that is now in a plastic bag and I am told to follow some directions after 24 hours.

Later on today I did start to feel much better. So I decided to rip apart my bedroom. I hate sleeping in sheets and my quilt once I've been sick in them. I wiped down the whole room and sanitized everything. I opened up the windows and aired everything out. I did the same thing with my bathroom in my room and the main bathroom. I took a nice shower and now I feel like myself again. Tomorrow I am supposed to go to the doctor first thing in the morning because of my reaction to the blood pressure medication ... maybe they willl prescribe something new. I know I have a few pounds to loose so if I can get my but back into working out or just plugging in to my Ipod and taking a walk once a day I am sure that will help.

Hope your weekend was good!

Not A Great Day!

38 degrees

Hello...This is the first time I am able to sit up all day. Last night I had another allergic reaction to a new blood pressure med DynaCirc CR. I ended up with a sunburn rash all over me. I look like I spent the day at the beach. I called the Dr. and was told to stop taking it right away and if I felt my throat or tongue start to swell I was to go right to the Emergency Room. Thankfully it didn't get worse. Then I woke up at 6am this morning vomiting all day long. I don't think they are both connected but geezzz....I am getting so sick of feeling so cr*ppy! I think I have what Kaylee has last weekend. She did the same thing with the vomiting and just sleeping all day. Then by evening she started to feel better. Which is how I feel now except for my 101 fever. I am trying to slowly sip on some stirred out ginger ale and so far so good. Alan is going to pick up some Italian ices so I just stay to liquids for the rest of the day. Kaylee was so cute. When I was sleeping she brought in a towel laid it on the bed then put a bucket and a wet wash cloth there for me like I did for her. She's a good kid!! I also woke up to a bunch of pictures and cards from all the kids. I was supposed to go out tonight too. Alan and I were supposed to go to Milleredge Inn but that's not happening. Oh well another night.

I am going to lay down and rest for the rest of this evening. Have a great night!!

Lots going on...

48 degrees

Let's see the weekend was very nice.. David and Alan had nice birthday's even if they both do share the same birthday. On Friday, after school, I took David out shopping and he picked out a couple of Game Cube games and a DVD that he wanted. Then I took him his friend Amanda and his sisters out to Pizza Hut. David wanted to go to the movies for his birthday, so he picked the movie Ice Age 2 : The Meltdown. We all went as a family and I told David he could bring his friend as well. The movie was really funny; good for adults and children. I really enjoyed it and so did everyone else. Saturday, we went to my mom and dad's house. My mom made Alan his favorite dish; chicken parm. David's request was for pizza bagels. It was really nice of her to do that for them. The enjoyed it alot. Then we had a nice icecream cake from Carvel. Gosh it was good!! Yum!!

Sunday, Kaylee woke up with vomiting on and off all day, so I really just sat holding her most of the day. Gosh the poor thing...she catches everything since she started kindergarten. She is doing much better though, but I did keep her home from school Monday. Later on Sunday evening, Alan brought home some movies..."Failure to Launch", "V for Vendetta", "Inside Man", "Ice Age The Meltdown", and "Firewall" (w/Harrison Ford). All really good copies too!! So I sat and watched Ice Age again with Kaylee ...she was thrilled. I want to see Firewall next. Alan went out with his friends to a barbecue and to watch Wrestlemania. He had a nice time and his friends even got him a cake and sang happy birthday.

Well went to the doctor yesterday for a check up and bloodwork. I have been feeling pretty good. I think mostly because of the weather. In the process of my checkup, she did my blood pressure and it just seems to keep going up. Last time it was just borderline 140/90. I told her I keep on having hot flashes even when I am resting. I even had one when I was sitting on the exam table. She said that wasn't normal for a 36 year old and I was too young to be going through any female changes. She then took my blood pressure and it was 150/105 ... not good. So my med list which is already long enough has grown..I am now on 14 different meds everyday (mostly for asthma)!!Crazy!! I was put on DynaCirc CR for high blood pressure. She said that I am probably having the hot flashes because of my pressure going up. Though she was going to check my thyroid and do a complete blood chemistry just to make sure. So I will have to see if the new med works... then go back in 2 weeks. Oh gosh when does it ever end!! Guess it's good that it is caught before something horrible was to come of it such as a heart attack or stroke. I am way too young to have to have any of that going on. I have to watch my salt intake and start doing some more exercise. So I will have to get back to my walking. High blood pressure runs in my family so it really isn't too much of a surprise. My mom is on meds for it as well. The Dr. said it is hereditary. I also ordered a wrist blood pressure machine to check my pressure off of Amazon. My mom has the same one and so does my aunt and her doctor told her that it was an accurate and easy one to use.

I also ordered my quilt set that I told you about in my last post. I should have it next week sometime. I love quilts and was happy that I found this one since it has been discontinued.

I've also been buying some tickets the past couple of days. I bought 12 tickets to a Long Island Ducks baseball game on July 4th. I figured it would be a nice family day out with my parents, sisters, and the kids and then afterward they are having a Grucci fireworks show. Around here everywhere you go is packed especially the Jones Beach fireworks show. So I figured everyone would enjoy a nice evening.

The other tickets... I am so thrilled about...Kenney Chesney... my favorite country singer....if finally coming to NY's Madison Square Garden on July 14th. Though instead of Sugarland touring with him at this concert Carrie Underwood (from American Idol) will be there. I love her new song "Jesus Take The Wheel". I ended up getting excellent tickets and Alan and I will have a nice evening out this summer. It's not too often that country singers come here to NYC. My sister also got tickets to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. So maybe they are getting more fans in NYC these days. Alan isn't trilled about going but I've gone to plenty of events with him that I wasn't too thrilled about ....Pink Floyd...Wrestling events...Rush... so he is going but under protest at the moment. LOL!!

Alan is still doing about the same. So that's about all for now. Hope you all are having a great week!!
