Off We Go....

Hello...

Getting ready for our trip to Point Sabago Resort in Maine. I have been cleaning and doing laundry for 3 days. I am just waiting on the last of it so Alan and I can start packing the van. We are leaving at 5 am which is only 6 hours from now. I hope I can squeeze so sleep in there as well. I sure hope the vacation is relaxing. From what I hear there is so much to do there. We are staying with my sister Lisa, her boyfriend Darren and her daughter Ashley. Darren's parents and lots of his family will be there as well. He has been going there for the last 23 years.

We will be back late Saturday. I will try blogging while I am there. I will have my laptop with me.

Have a great week!!

Sure is Hot!!

Hello. I was up late tonight so I figured I would write. It's sure been hot here on LI the past couple of days. Today it reached 100. I wouldn't mind the hot so much if it wasn't humid with it! We had the neighbor's kids over to swim with the girls. The kids were commenting how warm the pool was so when I checked it was 93 degrees!! I must put some cold water in there tomorrow. Stinks when the pool isn't even refreshing!!

The Kenny Chesney concert was great. It was the first concert he ever played at Madison Square Garden. We saw....Carrie Underwood....Dierks Bently.... Uncle Kracker and of course Kenny Chesney. Here are a few pics... not so good because it was so dark.

Today my sister Lisa had laser eye surgery so that she won't have to wear glasses anymore. She did really well. She said it was so weird to see now without her glasses which were pretty strong. She said it sure better work at $1900 an eye!! She had me cracking up though. The dr.'s office gave her a pair of sunglasses and a nifty baseball cap to help keep the sun out of her eyes. She was like ... how dow you like my hat for $3800!! She's too much!!

I also did a little shopping with my mom at the mall for our trip that we are leaving for on Sunday to Point Sabego Resort in Maine. I was looking for a couple of pairs of shorts which I found with no problem. I went to Macy's to look for a newbathing suit. I found a Miracle Suit one I liked but...because I have a DD chest ....I was a poppin' out....I hate when that happens!! LOL!! I don't need to look like a hussy from the river as my mom would say!! So I went back to my mom's and went on my sisters computer and found my suit in Nordstrom's in a DD top. I had it express delivered so that I get it in time hopefully by Thursday. Here is a pic. When I first saw it I really wasn't going to try it on but when I did it was really flattering. It really makes a very slim waist. Something I sure need help with!

Well guess I should get myself off to bed this is pretty late for me to be up at almost 3 am. I have a hair cut appointment at 10 am. and lots to do tomorrow.

Hugs!

Concert Tonight!!

Hello..

Well Wednesday I went out to dinner and then to Jones Beach to see Kelly Clarkson. It was a great concert. She only played about an hour though... I think because of the severe weather we were having here. It had poured and had severe lightning just prior to the show. If anyone has been to a Jones Beach concert the arena is outdoors so I think they cut the show short because another band of severe weather was on it's way in. I had a great time and thank my friend Alison!!

Tonight we are going to NYC Madison Square Garden to see Kenny Chesney. Also opening for him is Carrie Underwood (former Amican Idol...) who I am excited to see as well. I love her song Jesus, Take the Wheel.

I am just so excited. We have great seats next to the stage. I was happy that he was coming to NYC. Rarely do country singers come here. It will be a nice evening for Alan and I to get out. He really isn't into Kenny Chesney and I have been playing his music so much lately I think it's growing on him a bit. My Mom and Dad were nice enough to take the kids for the evening since it will be too late when we get out of the concert and catch the train home.

Anyways...I am going to finish up the laundry and pack the kids up for tonight. Enjoy your weekend!!

Hugs!!

Wow Wednesday Already.

Wow the week is just zipping by....Yesterday, my living room furniture arrived. It's so pretty. The only thing now is I have this blue recliner in the room that just does not go. Looks like I am going to have a reapolstered to another color or get a new recliner. Other than that it looks beautiful.

I also took Brittany and I to the dentist. Brittany needed her 6 month check-up and did very welll. I on the other hand was told to have a back wisdom tooth removed. I explained that the oral surgeon once said that the root of my tooth is wrapped around the nerve and if it were to be pulled I would loose feeling in my lower half of my mouth / chin. So I never did it. She sait that there are new techniques and she could do it that the tooth would have to come out in pieces. So I scheduled an appointment with her on Aug 1 when I get back from vacation.

I also ran and did a little food shopping at Waldbaums. I really want to eat healthier and refused to buy any junk for the house. I have been trying to eat alot of protiens and much less carbs. I am feeling so good so far. Though it's only been a week. As soon as I am done typing this I am going to go and do a Leslie Sansone video Wak Away the Pounds.

My best friend Alison is coming by my house around 5 p.m. so that we can leave and go catch a bite to eat before the concert. I'm hoping the weather just stays the way it is cloudly with no rain. That is the only thing about going to concerts at Jones Beach there's always that chance it will rain.

I'll let you know how my concert went... Have a great Wednesday~ Dawn

Barbeque Today...

Well it's a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon. My sister Lisa and her boyfriend Darren just called and invited us over for a barbeque. We are going away with them in a couple of weeks to Maine. Darren's parents and family go up there every year and put their boat in the water. It's a resort called Point Sebago. It's about a 5 - 6 hour drive from Long Island. Anyways I never met Darren's parents and Lisa figured this would be a good opportunity before we went away. My parents said they are very nice and friendly and down to earth and they like them a lot. The girls and David enjoy swimming so they will have fun in the pool today.

Have a great Sunday!!

Quiet Saturday

Hello. Not too much going on today. Alan and David just ran out to Wal-Mart to get a few things for the house. Cereal is so much cheaper there. Today I was working on "Thank You" cards from David's Confirmation party. David was also working on cleaning out his bedroom so that he can put the queen mattress in there and give Kaylee his twin bed. What a mess .... he just has so many things in his room. Lego!!! Ugh!! He has huge buckets of it!! He needs his own storage facility. LOL!!

I also got a phone call that my sofa will be here on Tuesday... so now I have some couches to start moving around as well. Gosh everything always happens all at once. I'm happy though. All will look nice when everything is done.

Enjoy your weekend.

Hugs!

I'm Blogging....Finally!!

Gosh so much going on lately I having had much time to blog which I am determined to do even if it's a small post.

I am busy today giving my bedroom a really good cleaning out. I am getting a new Simmons Beautyrest mattress/box spring tomorrow. So I am giving David my queen size mattress. He sleeps on a twin now that is only a year old so I am giving that one to Kaylee who is just getting to big for her toddler bed. At least it all works out. Hopefully Alan sleeps better with the new mattress. He is still home on disability with his neck and shoulder. He is still in therapy so he has a few more weeks to go before they determine anything as far as surgery for his shoulder. We also found out our lawyer filed the summons of complaint against the other driver that hit Alan. So he has 30 days to respond.

I am still waiting on my new living room furniture. Hopefully another week or two at the latest.

Forth of July was great we went to a Long Island Ducks Game . We had a really nice time. Here are a couple of pictures I took

Kaylee, Quacker Jack, and Brittany

Unfolding the American Flag

So that's really all for now. I have to get back to cleaning but I promise to be by to say hello to everyone. Hope your all having a great summer!!

Hugs!! Dawn~
