Happy St. Patrick's Day

St. Patricks Day Ahh... the day of the wearin' of the green, music and songs, Irish food and drink, watching the parade in NYC.  Most importantly it is celebrated as a traditional day for spiritual renewal and offering prayers for missionaries worldwide.

I am cooking my traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage with red bliss mashed potatoes.  I just love how the house fills of the smell of the corned beef cooking.  The girls walked in from school and said smells like St. Patrick's Day in here!!

It really is such a beautiful day today here on Long Island.  Spring-like indeed!!  My flowers are starting to come up.  In just a few weeks it will be time to plant the garden!  I really do look forward to that.

Our bedroom is coming along...we feel a little behind with the painting and just finished up yesterday so we are going to lay the floor this Saturday instead.  I really like how the color came out.
