At Studio Seven in Wantagh getting haircut, color and highlights. Kaylee is also getting haircut. She's still got the chest pain but is pushing through it. We always feel good after getting our hair done. So many events coming up this weekend we are having my nephew Ryan's 1st Holy Communion, Sunday is Mother's Day so Alan is taking me out to a nice dinner and then we will go over to my parents house for dessert to celebrate Mother's Day and our Mom's birthday. Next week David Graduates from College and the following week my God-daughter Ashely Graduates College too. I am so proud of both of them. Then Alan and I are off to Cancun for 8 days! We will be renewing our wedding vows on the beach...working on writing my vows. Alan and I are so excited to get away. So good to have so many things to celebrate and enjoy the closeness of family.

Had to rush to school and pick up Kaylee and take her over to cardiologist since she started having chest pain, pressure in her chest and shortness of breath. Doctor ran EKG and did an echocardiogram. Doctor diagnosed her with costochondritis which is virus that settles in wall of chest from having open heart surgery. Having costochondritis can mimic the signs of having a heart attack. She is very uncomfortable. It could take a few days or weeks to clear up so no gym for at least 2 weeks. Also her aorta is building up even more scar tissue than last time so it's something we will have to keep an eye on. It may need to eventually be repaired.

Poor Brittany fell down a few stairs and sprained her ankle so bad orthopedic wants her in cam walker for 3-4 weeks especially because she has broken this ankle once before. She says the boot is heavy to walk in but better than the cast they could have put on her leg since she can take it off to shower or just lay in bed and let her leg breathe a bit. But she does have to wear it all day. She has to go back to orthopedic in a month and all should be good by then.

Spent Friday booking and paying for the rest of our 9 day family trip to Daytona Beach for a couple of days and 7 days in Orlando Florida in August. Booked our airfare on JetBlue. We will spend a couple of days at the beach in Daytona and visiting Alan's cousin Blanche in Palm Coast. Then it will be off to Orlando where we will be staying at our 3 bedroom timeshare at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club at Seaworld. I purchased tickets to do 2 Disney Parks, 2 Universal Parks with unlimited ride fast pass, and Discovery Cove which is my family's favorite day and booked a VIP Cabana, then Sea World and a Medieval Times Dinner. It's going to be one exhausting but fun 9 days. So looking forward to this family trip.

Today is the anniversary of our first date we had 27 years ago. We went to a resturant called Whitley Hills Tavern. Though it's not there anymore when I drive by I always think of that night. Who knew we would spend the rest of our lives together. He loves me like no one could ever do. I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. Two years later we were married and will be celebrating that special day renewing our wedding vows on the beach in Cancun for our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

What a beautiful time Alan and I had in Savannah, Georgia. Got in on a Friday and they were able to check us into the hotel early which was nice. We got a room with a balcony at the the Hyatt Regency. What a view...right on the riverfront! We went and had a nice breakfast and then walked around the city. This was also the first time we left our kids home to fend for themselves. Well David is going on 23 and Brittany is 17 and Kaylee is 15 so they are all pretty self sufficient. Only thing that had us a little worried was that we were having the biggest snow storm of the winter Friday into Saturday. They actually did really well. David and Brittany shoveled and Kaylee held down the fort in the house...couldn't shovel due to recent wrist surgery. I'm so proud of my kids! I am so blessed. Oh and that evening we went to Paula Deen's Restaurant. Oh my that was yummy. I am in her fan club so we got VIP Reservations. The dinner was great and oh the dessert banana pudding was amazing! Alan liked her Southern Fried Chicken.
Saturday we woke up it was my 46th birthday so I was surprised by the two cards on the side of the bed. A beautiful one from Alan....god I love him besides my Dad, he is the only other man in my life that has never let me down. He takes such good care of me and our kids. He cares for me so much. He just never wants to see me unhappy. I also had another card from my three kids with personal notes inside of them telling me what a special and good mother I am. I actually cried. They may drive me crazy at times but they are so good hearted. We did a little sight seeing again and then went back to the hotel to get dressed for our Riverboat Cruise. We got there and there were balloons on the table and a rose for my birthday. The waiter bought us a nice bottle of Champagne. Alan doesn't drink but I ended up drinking the whole bottle. lol. We had a great time.
Sunday was nice we went and did a private carriage ride and toured the city. The buildings were so nice and it is nice how they kept the town. It is in its own way a very artsy town since there is an arts college there. I think David would have loved that. After our tour we walked down on the Riverfront and checked out some shops. I like how while you in Savannah you can drink 16oz of alcohol and walk around with it in public. Not many places you can do that. My favorite drink was a Georgia Peach! Yum! Can't count how many of those I had.
Monday we got up early being it was our last day. We did lots of walking around and went to the famous Leopold's Ice Cream shop....my god that was so good. We had the best lunch we both had turkey, bacon and lettuce sandwiches on the best bread I've ever tasted. Alan then had homemade coffee ice cream and I had a small cup of coconut ice-cream...it was amazing. After we walked back the the hotel. We had a late check-out at 2pm so we left the bags with the concierge. We sat in the bar and had a few more drinks...had to have one last Georgia Peach. Alan said to me he wasn't really sure he was going to like Savannah when I first booked this trip but he was pleasantly surprised at how much of a great time he had and was already talking about coming back next year. So since I don't really celebrate my birthday with a cake and all anymore guess I'll be booking another trip back who knows maybe for my birthday next year!

Kaylee and I went for haircuts today and feel nice a pretty and then went and picked up a light lunch.
Going home and watching the Patriots vs. Chiefs. Hoping the Patriots win.
One more week until our trip to Savannah, Georgia. Going to Paula Deen's Restaurant "Lady and Sons". Always wanted to go there. I belong to her fan club so we get VIP Club Reservations. Taking some tours and going on a nice Riverboat cruise for my birthday dinner. I just have to book our horse and carriage ride tour which I'lll do this weekend. Going to be a fabulous weekend.
Came home to find flowers from Alan just because.... — Feeling Loved!

Dropped our 6 month old kitten Lilly off 7:30am this morning at the pet hospital to be spayed. We picked her up at 4pm and the doctor said she did really well. Got home and she was running, jumping and playing. Animals sure do bounce back.
